  • All dual credit class only take 1 semester to complete.

  • You can learn effective problem solving skills and learn how to work and communicate with others.

  • If you fail a dual credit course it can drastically effect your gpa.

  • LCC and HU don't require any eligibilities to participate in a class, you are provided with textbooks and the sources you need. any additional costs are payed for out of pocket however.

  • There is currently 9 dual credit courses at West Las Vegas High School.

  • Mr. Lopez, Mrs. Lopez, Mrs. Villa Lopez, Mr. Mariano Ulibarri, Ms. Duran, and Mr. William Lopez all teach a dual credit class at West Las Vegas High School. 

  • For most students participating in a dual credit class math and English classes are the most challenging. 

  • To participate in a dual credit class you are required to have at least a 2.5 GPA.

The course Psychology & Society is taught by Ms. Duran at West Las Vegas High School.

Composition 1&2

The current (19th) president of the New Mexico Highlands University is Dr. Neil Woolf.

Freshman Composition 1&2 classes are offered at West Las Vegas High School and are taught by Mr. Lopez and Ms. Lopez.
