The Band is taught by Mr. Michael Campbell. He is such a great teacher he wants students to succeed and for them to be the best. He is such a warm hearted person and you will always enjoy talking to him.

Q: What is something you are proud of this year?
A: "How great they sound, how great they work together, the family unity that we have, also all the compliments we get from the other schools."





Q: What does a student have to do to join Band?
A: "They need to be able to play an instrument, or they need to be willing to learn."
Q: How long have you been teaching Band?
A: "Almost 35 years of teaching band"
Q: How often do you play music for the school?
A: "We play at all the home football games, basketball games, prep assemblies, and state sendoffs."

Q: What do you enjoy most about teaching Band?
A: "The satisfaction of seeing the kids getting what I was teaching, seeing that lightbulb go off, and seeing the kids having fun."
Q: Do you supply the instruments for the students?
A: "Some instruments I supply, such as percussion and some of the other instruments, but sometimes some of the kids have their own.
Q: What happens if a Band member can't learn their part?
A: "I put them into sectionals and they work individually with the instruments in their sections, and then I go around to help them."
Q: What is the hardest part about teaching Band?
A: "When we start learning new music, then teaching the counting and the rhythm of the music."
